Shrimp Shack 2020
Having been in the market for four years, Shrimp Shack opted for a brand facelift into the cultural genre. Shrimp Shack was revamped into smart-casual dining with the help of the Saudi culture that flows in from the marines of Saudi Arabia. Taking notes from ocean lifeforms and captains of the sea, a new Shrimp Shack was born with a versatile branding system, telling the same story but in a new dress.

Details can make or break a brand. We helped shrimp shack - a Saudi owned seafood restaurant owned by Mhab company to uplift their existing Brand Identity, transforming the from a fast-food chain to casual dining experience.

We created unique versatile patterns inspired by Shrimp Shack’s brand values and Saudi Culture. The brand values considered for pattern creation played a huge role in the process, we focused on combining Saudi Arabia’s artistic culture with brand aspects of being messy, creative, and fun. This resulted in customizable patterns exclusive to Shrimp Shack. Our aim with Shrimp Shack’s distinctive illustration was to represent ocean life in direct alignment with the brand values. We created geometric aquatic elements which could be used individually or stacked to create exclusive brand patterns with numerous uses.

Color Study: We separated the brand colors into four themes, Primary, seasonal, Coral, and sand. These four themes were ispired by the sea, aquatic animal, the beach, and the existing brand. Having a large collection of brand colors promotes boundary-less creativity, when executing the brand into a visual experience.

Brand Strategy: Our goal for Shrimp Shack was to turn it form a fast-food chain to casual dining by upgrading all existing brand elements and creating new exclusive ones. We aimed to refine and upgrade the brand's playful look into being more stylish and sleek whilsts still maintaing the brand's messy and joyful nature.
